Okay, so let’s get into it.
I’ve been sitting with one question. What can I share with you that you can use immediately? Something you can take today and put to work in your business right away.
And I decided we need to start with the basics. Why webinars? And once you’re in, why does your title matter so much?
So let’s start there.
Why Webinars?
A webinar gives you the opportunity to teach one-to-many instead of one-to-one.
When we’re thinking about growing our businesses and scaling our businesses, we have to put processes in place. Processes that allow us to get in front of more people, more frequently.
Most business owners, when they first start out, are doing sales calls. And there’s nothing wrong with a sales call. Sales calls work very, very well, to be honest with you. I want to be real clear about that.
However. When you are a one-person shop and you don’t have a sales team, you are limiting yourself. You simply don’t have the capacity to sell to one person at a time and still grow at the level you want.
That’s where webinars and workshops come into the picture. Entrepreneurs and business owners use them to grow at scale. They decide to host a monthly webinar, or even a weekly one, so they can get in front of more people and then convert more of those people into their signature offer.
That is why you see so many coaches and consultants using webinars in their business. It positions them to scale and grow exponentially. And authors, you already have something to teach from. Your book is sitting right there.
Your Title Is the First Thing They See
Now let’s talk about your title. Because your title is very, very important.
Your title is the first thing people see when they decide whether or not they’re going to raise their hand and attend your workshop. That’s the moment. They read it, and they decide.
And a lot of people like to choose these cute titles. Titles that don’t tell me what I’m going to get, or what I’m going to learn by showing up.
Now, I’m not picking on anybody. I’m just thinking out loud here. But take a title like “Freedom From the Inside Out.” Or “Reinvent From the Inside Out.” Like, what is that, really? What am I going to learn?
So here’s what I want you to understand. When you create your title, tell them exactly what they’re going to learn. Exactly.
One of the webinars I’m running right now is called How to Generate 100 Leads in 30 Days in Your Business Without Using Ads. Now that is a super clear title. You know what you’re walking away with, and you know how long it’s going to take.
What Happened When I Changed One Title
Let me give you a perfect example from my own business.
In 2025, we ran a workshop every single month. Our revenue grew 80% over the previous year.
But when we first started that workshop, it was called the 10K Workshop.
Okay. 10K what? 10K weeks? 10K months? 10K days? What are we talking about here, DeKesha?
As soon as I changed the title to How to Enroll More Clients Into Your Signature Offer, it immediately took off. Our registrations took off. The ad performed so much better.
The workshop itself stayed the same. The name is what changed.
So how you name your actual webinar is going to be super, super important.
Your One Thing to Do Today
Here’s your action step, and you can do it right now.
Pull up your webinar title, or write one if you don’t have it yet. Then ask yourself one question: if somebody only read my title, would they know exactly what they’re going to learn?
If the answer is no, rewrite it. Start with “How to,” then name the result your reader actually wants. If you can add a number or a timeframe, add it.
Then come back here and drop your webinar title in the comments below. I want to see it. I’ll be reading them, and we’ll make them clear together.
Stay Tuned
This is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks I’m going to be talking about lead generation, webinars, and workshops, and how you can use these tools to scale your business. So stay tuned.
Be passionate, be purposeful, but more importantly, be profitable.
