From NICU to New Purpose: How Kristee Hall Is Giving Hope to Families Through #Brooketales

Kristee Hall is an author, federal civilian, speaker, NICU advocate, emotional encouragement coach, and devoted mother whose mission is to give hope to families navigating one of life’s most difficult journeys. After the premature birth of her daughter, Brooke, Kristee transformed her personal experience into a platform for advocacy, encouraging parents to find their voice while facing the uncertainties of the neonatal intensive care unit.

As a State Delegate for Maryland during NICU Hill Day and a member of Black Women Who Want More, she is committed to raising awareness and supporting NICU families through education, encouragement, and faith. Through her book, #Brooketales: A Baby’s NICU Story and a Mother’s Healing Journey, Kristee continues to remind parents that even in their darkest moments, hope and healing are possible.

A Story Born from Pain and Purpose

When Kristee Hall found herself giving birth to a premature baby with serious health challenges, she entered a season filled with fear, uncertainty, and trauma. During that difficult time, she often felt unheard, yet she knew her experience could help someone else facing a similar journey.

Writing became her way of healing and serving others. #Brooketales was born not only to tell her family’s story but to encourage NICU mothers and families who desperately need hope during one of the most critical seasons of their lives. Her desire is that readers will discover faith when they feel they have nothing left to hold on to.

A Living Story of Faith, Advocacy, and Resilience

What makes Kristee’s story unique is that it is more than a memoir. It is a living testimony of a mother and daughter who fought together through the challenges of the NICU.

Throughout the experience, faith and advocacy became essential. As she learned to navigate medical decisions and speak up for her daughter, Kristee discovered the strength she never knew she possessed. Her story reminds families that even in the midst of tragedy, courage can grow, hope can remain, and miracles are still possible.

Strength Through Faith

One scripture has remained Kristee’s foundation through every challenge:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

She believes life brings both joy and hardship, but every trial carries a lesson. Her faith gave her the strength to endure difficult moments and continues to inspire the message she now shares with families around the world.

Creating a Legacy of Hope

Rather than allowing her experience to define her through pain, Kristee chose to create something lasting.

She wrote #Brooketales to leave a legacy for her daughter and to ensure other families know they are not alone. Today, her book serves as a bridge into the NICU community as she partners with organizations, participates in awareness initiatives, and works to place her story into the hands of families who need encouragement the most.

Advice for Aspiring Authors

Kristee encourages aspiring authors to embrace their story, no matter how long it takes to write.

She believes every book captures a unique moment in time and becomes part of an author’s lasting legacy. Long after we are gone, our stories continue speaking to future generations. Her advice is simple: share your part of this world.
