For the past two decades, Dr. Craig has worked as a servant leader supporting veterans and their families, helping others navigate challenge, transition, and resilience.

“I have travelled the globe and experienced many impactful and transformative cultures that have framed my ruminations on science, technology, and fantasy,” he shares.

“Afrofuturistic themes, Black culture, or tales with Black characters are central to everything I write about and share,” he says. “Black voices are part and parcel of all my books and stories, and I am unapologetic about this.”
By embracing psychological suspense through a distinctly Black lens, Dr. Craig expands the possibilities of what readers expect from thriller fiction — proving that Black storytelling belongs in every genre, including the darkest corners of suspense.
His inspiration for writing The Hollow Vow came from a noticeable absence in the literary landscape.
“I didn’t see very many Black authors writing psychological thrillers, especially male writers.”
